> For the complete documentation index, see [llms.txt](https://docs.swapkit.dev/llms.txt). Markdown versions of documentation pages are available by appending `.md` to page URLs; this page is available as [Markdown](https://docs.swapkit.dev/get-started/using-these-docs-with-ai-agents.md).

# Using these docs with AI agents

Machine-readable entry points to these docs and the API: llms.txt, Markdown pages, the docs MCP server, and the OpenAPI spec.

If you build with an AI coding assistant, or you're an agent integrating SwapKit, these are the fastest ways in. Each one serves the same content as the human-readable site.

### Docs MCP server

Connect your agent to the docs directly:

```
https://docs.swapkit.dev/~gitbook/mcp
```

It's a remote MCP server over Streamable HTTP and needs no authentication. Its tools:

* `searchDocumentation` searches every page.
* `getPage` returns a page as Markdown.
* `sendFeedback` reports outdated or wrong content to the SwapKit team.

For example, in Claude Code:

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http swapkit-docs https://docs.swapkit.dev/~gitbook/mcp
```

### llms.txt

* [`https://docs.swapkit.dev/llms.txt`](https://docs.swapkit.dev/llms.txt) is an index of every page with a one-line description.
* [`https://docs.swapkit.dev/llms-full.txt`](https://docs.swapkit.dev/llms-full.txt) is the full text of every page in one file.

### Any page as Markdown

Add `.md` to any page URL to get its Markdown source, for example [`https://docs.swapkit.dev/get-started/quickstart.md`](https://docs.swapkit.dev/get-started/quickstart.md).

### OpenAPI spec

The API's OpenAPI 3 definition is at [`https://api.swapkit.dev/docs/json`](https://api.swapkit.dev/docs/json), with an interactive explorer at [`https://api.swapkit.dev/docs/`](https://api.swapkit.dev/docs/). Use it to generate a typed client, or give it to an agent as the source of truth for request and response shapes.

### Suggested starting points

For an agent building a swap integration, the most useful pages are, in order:

1. [Quickstart](/get-started/quickstart.md): the end-to-end flow in five steps.
2. [Authentication and API keys](/get-started/authentication-and-api-keys.md): the API key cannot be generated by an agent; a human creates it in the [dashboard](https://dashboard.swapkit.dev/).
3. [How a swap works](/get-started/quote-and-swap-implementation-flow.md): the errors and rate limits to handle.
4. [Transaction Formats by txType](/api-reference/transaction-formats-by-txtype.md): what to sign on each chain.
